Auto Glass Repair
Your windshield can crack for any number of reasons. A rogue tree branch crashing down where your car was parked can leave a crack, as can a stray baseball from the neighborhood kids’ game. Do you live in an area where the temperatures swing from extremely cold to extremely hot? These drastic temperature changes can also cause stress cracks in a windshield. One common mistake people make is pouring hot water on the windshield in order to thaw out winter ice—doing this can easily crack your windshield as the glass quickly expands and contracts due to the changing temperatures. Similar to a bull’s-eye chip, a crack will weaken the windshield, making further damage more likely, and a crack in your line of vision makes it harder to see the road clearly. If the crack in your windshield is six inches long or smaller, call us right away to have it fixed. Cracks will spread over time due to temperature changes and vibration from driving, and larger cracks cannot be repaired, meaning you’ll need to replace the windshield instead.
New vehicles are equipped with cameras and sensors or "advanced driver assistance systems" (ADAS) that help you keep you safe on the road. They alert and warning are designed prevent accidents. These systems require a calibration when a new windshield is installed to avoid inaccurate measurements. It highly recommended to calibrate the system to maintain a solid reading.
New headlights have a factory applied protective coating that protects the lens from oxidation.
Oxidation is caused by heat, sunlight, sand, pollution, car wash chemicals and road salts that wear down the original protective coating and cause the headlight to cloud up.
Headlight restoration brings back the original clarity and shine by refinishing the headlight's surface and replacing the protective coating.
